KoolDuct insulated panels deliver impressive air-tight
efficiency, excellent thermal performance. The closed
cell phenolic foams and thermal conductivity is an impressive 0.13 BTU in/hr ft2. The air stream in the fully sealed duct flows only on aluminum, ideal for high specification application and on jobs where a non-fibrous solution is desired. As a UL 181-rated system, it easily meets SMACNA Leakage Class 6 for high pressure ductwork.

KoolDuct is incredibly lightweight–only 3.5 pounds per cubic foot,
which is 15% of the weight of insulated sheet metal. So it’s easy to install, and a lot faster than sheet metal. The single – fix installation, eliminates the need for two trades. And KoolDuct can also be installed flush against the slab delivering more space savings than traditional sheet metal ductwork–up to 6-8 inches.

DESCRIPTION

The Knauf KoolDuct® System is a pre-insulated, high performance air duct system for industrial and high-end commercial applications. The system uses a CFC-free phenolic foam board faced on both sides with reinforced foil. Patented, specially engineered, aluminum flanges are designed to connect the duct sections to assure a strong, tight closure.

APPLICATION

The Knauf KoolDuct System is used in commercial, residential and industrial applications. The ducting is versatile and can be installed internally or externally, and concealed above a false ceiling or visibly mounted. It is easily modified and repaired and can be fabricated on-site with non-powered tools.
